Yandex Implements RTB Technology
Yandex, Russia's leading search engine, is testing a Real-Time Bidding model for its display advertising. It is a based on typical RTB technology—that is, it is an auction-based system for selling and buying ad impressions. Univision Gives Real-Time Control to Hispanic Advertisers
Univision is launching an online ad network designed to help advertisers better connect with US Hispanics. Yesterday Yahoo confirmed plans to discontinue Content Match, a contextual ad product that operates in Europe.

Phorm Loses UK CEO Hugo Drayton, CFO Lynne Millar
At year's end, UK CEO Hugo Drayton of Phorm will depart the company. The decision was made "by mutual agreement" between himself and the behavioral targeting firm, Drayton said.

US-Based Execs Take Leave of Phorm
Behavioral ad firm Phorm lost four board members, reportedly because they disagreed with CEO Kent Ertugrul about the company's future. Departees were David Dormon, chairman of Motorola; Virasb Vahidi, former CEO; Christopher Lawrence, Rothschild exec; and Stephen Heyer, ex-Coca-Cola exec.

BT Gives Phorm's Behavioral Ad Model Another Go
UK telecom BT is dipping its feelers back in the behavioral advertising market. The company has decided to re-test Phorm, whose technology enables participating websites to serve ads to users, based on web-surfing data provided by their ISPs. LiveJournal Reinvigorates Display Ad Format

Google Buys Russian Contextual Ad Firm for $140M
Google purchased ZAO Begun from Rambler Media, the fourth-leading Russian internet portal, for $140 million. Rambler also agreed to outsource search and contextual advertising for Rambler.ru to Google.
