HuffPo Infused with $25M, Site Valued at $100M
Political news site The Huffington Post received $25 million in a financing round led by VC firm Oak Investment Partners.
HuffPo plans to invest in infrastructure, increase in-house advertising capabilities and expand content offerings. Late last week C-SPAN launched the Debate Hub, a space where users can discuss the Presidential debate between Senators Barack Obama and John McCain, view clips, and hash out major topics.

Updated Senate Web Linking Rules Include Social Media Sites
The Senate Rules and Administration Committee has updated existing limitations on sites that Senators are allowed to link to from their official pages.

IAB Lends Helping Hand to Small Online Publishers
The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) created a new membership level for small online publishers, part of an effort to help them "prevent adverse state and Federal regulation that could hinder [their] ability to sell or carry advertising."
Any publisher that vends ads directly, indirectly or through a third-party network may join the IAB Small Publisher network, provided they make less than $1 million in annual revenue. The introductory rate is $500 per year.

Wikimedia Receives $500K Donation
The Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit organization behind Wikipedia, has received a $500,000 donation from philanthropists Vinod and Neeru Khosia.
