Carat Fusion's EVP for media insights, planning and analysis has been named Neo@Ogilvy's chief operating officer, North America.
In something of a coup for the recently formed digital arm of WPP Group's OgilvyOne, media industry veteran Greg Smith has joined it after six years at Aegis Group's Carat Fusion, writes AdWeek. Smith, who has experience in the interactive as well as traditional media worlds, will oversee day-to-day operations for both Neo@Ogilvy and search marketing specialist division NeoSearch@Ogilvy.
Smith has over 15 years of media planning, research and buying experience. He helped found Darwin Digital in 1997 and also helped launch the Non-Traditional Media Planning Group at Zenith Media Services in 1996.
