Some 50 percent of car dealers are relying on search marketing and intend to increase their paid search budget in the next 12 months, writes InternetRetailer, citing a Cobalt Group study of 300 car dealers. Dealers are targeting buyers within a radius of 50 miles of their dealership. They are shifting money from traditional print advertising to bid on keywords and phrases - and they're looking for SEM help: Only 21 percent of respondents (dealership execs) said they were knowledgeable about search.
