Canadian Adult Site Reaps Harvest from Facebook User Data

Who knows what lies within?

An Ontario-based adult entertainment company that conducts business under the name SlickCash has received legal complaints from Facebook, which asserts SlickCash "hacked" the social network's computers and tried accessing the personal information of users, reports The Globe and Mail.

While it is not evident which information was eventually gleaned, court documents say "the defendants knowingly and without permission took, copied, or made use of, data from Facebook's proprietary computers and computer network."

In June, the company attempted to access the Facebook server over 200,000 times.

Facebook claims to have suffered damages exceeding $5000 and was also "irreparably harmed."

According to a report by Sophos, Facebook users reveal a great deal of personal information about themselves — and are also more honest about those details than MySpace users.
