WIN 'EM BACK!
The Canadian Radio and Telecoms Commission has lifted "winback" restrictions in the country, reasoning that the market is competitive enough to keep small media services in business.
Under the ruling, telecoms had to wait 90 days to "win back" subscribers that left for another competitor.
The changes aren't expected to have much bearing on internet service, where the two largest companies control 93 percent of the market.
However, TV services are a different story: satellite and new competitors hold 26.3 percent of the TV market in '06, according to Globe and Mail.
