The U.S. Department of Transportation is launching an $11 million ad campaign, the largest ever to combat drunk driving, and newspapers won't see any of it.
The U.S. DOT ads will run on TV, radio and the internet, reports Editor&Publisher (via MediaBuyerPlanner). The ads "will run nationally on programs viewed primarily by 21- to 34-year-old males," DOT said.
According to data released Wednesday by the DOT's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the highest percentage of drivers in alcohol-related fatal crashes was for male drivers age 21-34 (33 percent), followed by males age 35-44 (25 percent).
