Internet television start-up Joost has just signed a deal with the Creative Artists Agency enabling the talent firm to provide them with new content, reports The Washington Post.
The deal will leverage CAA's relationships with major media companies and talent, all seeking to supply Joost with professional-level video. Such content will be a strong differentiator between Joost and YouTube, whose founders recently said they would focus primarily on amateur content, moving forward.
The CAA liaison is Joost's first talent agency relationship to date. However, Joost already has deals in place with MTV, BET, Paramount Pictures and a number of other networks.
