BuzzLogic has finally launched the Conversation Ad Network, an evolution of the affiliate platform it formed in November 2007, which pairs blog publishers and advertisers.

The network "rewards" bloggers that cultivate influence in a certain niche, providing quality real estate to advertisers with undervalued and remnant ad inventory. Over 500 blogs have been incorporated in the network.

In response to those that might compare the service to blog networks like Technorati and Federated Media, CEO Rob Crumbler stated, "Our targeting technology is focused on identifying influence. The algorithms measure the credibility of a blogger on a subject over time, as well as how the content or ideas are spreading through the social graph, or neighborhoods around it."

As a result, advertisers receive detailed reports about a blogger's degree of influence in addition to campaign performance metrics.

BuzzLogic first began "mapping" social media influencers in late 2006. Five months ago it purchased Activeweave, whose "BlogRovR" browser plugin analyzes sites a user visits, then recommends related stories from top bloggers.
