ZDNet: Web portal for sale, slightly used

When a Spanish phone company bought Lycos for $12.5 billion, some in the U.S. snickered that the Europeans were jumping into the Internet bubble just after the popping sound was heard on this side of the Atlantic. After a few years of deflating, Terra Lycos is looking to compound its buy-high strategy with a switch to sell-low. Having hired Lehman Brothers to tout the portal to the market, analysts are estimating it might go for about $200 million.
