Bud Light Stole 'Slap' Super Bowl Ad - Comedy Troupe

Bud Light's Super Bowl ad in which "what's in" is to slap friends and colleagues in the face is a little too similar to a sketch titled The New Thing, produced by comedy troupe the Whitest Kids U' Know. The two clips can be viewed here, side-by-side.

According to The Apiary, the New York-based comedy troupe said Budweiser was already speaking with them about creating content for its Bud.TV online destination. The group refused because it was already working with Fuse.tv; however, DVDs of their work were sent out to Bud.

"It is devastating to think that big corporations and ad agencies would come in and just take that work and use it for their own purposes, without any compensation or, more importantly, credit to the creators," the troupe said in a statement.

Whitest Kids U' Know is rolling out a series on the Fuse.tv starting March 20 and is also writing a feature film for Paramount.
