Investment firm BroadWebAsia Inc. has been licensed the rights to promote Major League Baseball (MLB)-associated media in China, according to a company release.
The China-based Major League Baseball site, currently published in simplified Chinese, will undergo development via a BroadWebAsia subsidiary in Shanghai.
The site will stream live baseball games in addition to video highlights, photos, scores and stats. "It will also will evangelize and teach baseball," PaidContent writes.
Last month, the MLB announced plans to limit the amount of game content that organizations can post online. Restrictions included a 72-hour limit for publication of non-text content made in a Major League ballpark.
