Broadway Gets New Street Level Ad Program

Situation Marketing, an online marketing strategy group servicing the theatrical industry, and Hopstop.com, a mass transit directions portal in New York City, have announced an advertising partnership that lets Situation Marketing deliver advertising for Broadway shows to people traveling to the Times Square area, reports ECommerce-Guide (via MediaBuyerPlanner).

The program lets advertisers deliver ads based on a user's street-level location. Hopstop claims that, to date, no other website offers this level of granular local advertising in the New York City area.

A current list of shows that will be participating in the launch of the program includes Chicago, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Rent, and Avenue Q.
