The Guardian (via SITE: PaidContent) sums up the recent scare over a brief trojan infection that ad serving firm Falk experienced. While sites like The Register immediately made viewers aware of the potential that they had been exposed to the Microsoft Internet Explorer exploit, most others did not. The Register estimates that as many as 30 sites were affected, but in the days following the discovery of the infection, hundreds of sites that had been told by Falk that they may have exposed readers to the trojan failed to make mention of it.
