Chicago Tribune: Bloggers earns extra income via ads
Through devices like Google's AdWords and the Blogads network, bloggers are beginning to book some cash for their online diaries. And, for some, it isn't just chump change, with some blogs taking in thousands of dollars a month, raising the prospect (gulp) of some bloggers blogging fulltime. The Tribune interviewed all the standard blog characters, including Gawker's Nick Denton and Blogads' Henry Copeland.
Copeland's recent unscientific blogger survey was brought up as beginning to make legitimate claims that the blog readers aren't just kids with time on their hands. The study showed a relatively wealthy, educated audience.
