Replace consoles? Him?
Blizzard, maker of the popular MMOG World of Warcraft, says that in five years PCs will deliver content, including games, all over the house - and in the process replace gaming consoles.
According to Next Generation, the thought is far from radical, as it's already happening with the evolution of consoles into specialized computers that serve a variety of entertainment purposes, like the XBox 360, which can play MP3s and DVDs, and connect PCs and the internet, among other functions.
Microsoft is now taking lessons from the XBox project and applying them to the its new Windows Vista operating system.
Blizzard paired the statement with the announcement that World of Warcraft would not be ported to consoles, as if to further justify its decision.
