Desktop search firm Blinkx released its new, 3.0 version, combining results from web search, desktop search and even searches of television content. A NetImperative report notes that the product features updated security, a feature taking on greater concern as desktop search brings with it the advent of indexing of personal documents.
Blinkx was the first firm to bring desktop search to the Macintosh platform.
It has also been a pioneer in exploring how to bring ad revenue streams to internet indexing of television content.
