Worship gets tech-savvy
One of the most popular hymnals in Britain, Mission Praise, has gone digital.
Users will pay $79 a year for a digital description to missionpraise.com. Digital worshipers may access 1,800 songs and download words, sheet music and accompanying audio backtracks, reports Reuters.
Mission Praise hit the UK in the early 1980s, coinciding with a visit from Billy Graham. The printed version went on to sell two million copies in the UK and around the world.
The digital book will be published by HarperCollins, which hopes to target congregation members that use technological devices during services.
