Big News Firms Buy Interest in Topix.net

The AP reports that newspaper firms Gannet, Knight Ridder and Tribune will together buy a three quarter interest in internet news aggregation company Topix.net. Topix.net already has 1.4 million users after launching just about a year ago, about a quarter as many as Google News.
