BeyondROI is expected to announce this week a new search product facilitating the placement of links in paid inclusion programs offered by Yahoo and other search engines, MediaPost reports. The new service, which uses crawlers and keyword mining algorithms, allows publishers to unleash crawlers through their product and service web pages, construct XML feeds, and then return those feeds to Yahoo or other search engines for use in their paid inclusion programs.
The program and requires only a site's top-level domain name; the crawlers then index the entire site, filter out non-product and non-services pages, and create XML files with page titles, keywords, and descriptions that can then be delivered to Yahoo for use in paid inclusion.
Rival iCrossing offers a similar feed service that delivers XML feeds to Yahoo for paid inclusion. Yahoo rival Google also offers a similar XML-based indexing service, Google Sitemaps, but does not offer paid inclusion; publishers can submit sitemaps but are not guaranteed placement.
