Bauer Publishing is launching a site intended to attract the same teens and preteens it currently reaches in print, reports Mediaweek.
Bauer execs acknowledged they are entering a crowded market, but are confident they will succeed, given their existing print audience.
4TNZ.com is stocked with videos, quizzes and other "sticky" interactive content. Much of it was created by Bauer's editorial staff, but visitors will also be able to publish content and videos.
The launch is the first step in Bauer's larger web strategy, which includes redesigns of existing sites. The publisher has yet to sell ads on 4TNZ, but when it does, it shall first approach the brands that sponsor its print publications.
