On Wednesday morning Bango launched Bango Analytics, which provides web stats for mobile-based websites and marketing campaigns.
In addition to traffic patterns, search terms and the country, network and handset of users, the service tracks behavior without singling identities out.
"It’s not enough simply to measure how many visits you get to your mobile site; you need a deeper understanding of what those visitors are doing," stressed CEO Ray Anderson of Bango.
Bango Analytics is a hosted service, which means users can access and manipulate their data entirely online. The service is free up to 10,000 page hits per month. Beyond that, clients must obtain a monthly subscription.
"A globally enabled product that makes mobile measurement easier for brands can only be a positive thing for the industry," conceded Daniel Rosen of AKQA Mobile when he heard the news.
