An ad platform by any other
name would smell just as...
Azoogle has changed its company name to Epic Advertising, according to a company release.
The advertising platform will maintain the same branding, AzoogleAds, and Bazaar Advertising will remain the name of its search engine marketing business. The two operations will operate under the new parent company moniker Epic Advertising.
The re-branding comes six months after Epic, formerly AzoogleAds, agreed to settle a Florida investigation into deceptive mobile content marketing practices. In 2005, Commission Junction accused AzoogleAds of non-compliance with its code of conduct.
The company now claims to be active in helping establish best practices for mobile content ads and services, the focal point of the Florida investigation. It also prepped for the rebrand with the launch of its Epic DIY ad center last year.
Epic Advertising has signed a couple of deals overseas, one in London and one in Israel, aimed at expanding its international ad inventory.
