Autobytel Debuts Ad Tool for Geo-Specific Car Dealerships

Autbytel has released a tool designed to better the experience on car dealer websites, ideally resulting in more sales leads, reports ClickZ.

The Local Connect tool can be used by dealers that already use Autobytel's MyRide search function to display ads on their sites. Dealers can opt to display ads for specific models, limited-time specials or other priority promotions, all of which can be targeted by region.

So far only 10 of the 3,700 dealer franchises Autobytel works with are actively running the ads, though 50 others have committed to do so. Convincing them that the network will give their deals priority remains Autobytel's challenge, as there are plenty of potential conflicts of interest among nearby dealers that hawk the same goods.
