AT&T and Yahoo on Wednesday announced a beta of a new version of Yahoo's browser-based Yahoo Mail, available to AT&T Yahoo High Speed Internet and Dial subscribers, providing desktop email client-like functions such as drag-and-drop email organization, message preview, comprehensive search of email headers, bodies and attachments - and an integrated RSS reader.
Other highlights of the beta version of AT&T Yahoo Mail includes the ability to view multiple emails at the same time, using tabbed navigation; automatic check and delivery of new mail; keyboard shortcuts and right-click menus; and address auto-complete.
AT&T Yahoo Mail beta functions via Firefox (Mac/Windows) and Internet Explorer (Windows only) browsers. It is available to a subset of AT&T Yahoo Mail users and will be made available to all users in the coming months, the companies said but did not provide a date.
