SearchEngineLowdown: Ask Jeeves & Yahoo Next With Desktop Search Products?

Ask Jeeves appears to be readying its own entry into the desktop search market, probably to be launched in December. The product will apparently combine desktop file search results with listings also coming from Ask Jeeve's web search engine, much like Google's recent release does. Yahoo hasn't said it will enter the market explicitly, but its director of product management hinted, saying, "We want to provide a full search experience."
