ClickZ: Ask Jeeves Trials Graphic Preview in Search Results

Ask Jeeves tested a feature that would have allowed searchers to preview a thumbnail image of sites listed in search results. ClickZ reports that Andy Beal, editor of Search Engine Lowdown, noticed that his own site had a little pair of binoculars next to its listing on Ask Jeeves. Rolling over them popped up a little image of the site. Ask Jeeves declined to comment on the apparent test, saying only that they often conducted experiments with potential new features and that "Andy simply stumbled across one of these tests, but we have no product announcements in this regard at this time."
