Reuters: Ask Jeeves Swings to Second-Quarter Profit
Dow Jones: Strong Traffic Aids Ask Jeeves
Ask Jeeves is another site with a grin on its face today, reporting a quarterly profit of $5.2 million on revenue of $25.6 million. That compares to revenue of $15.4 million and a net loss of $3.4 million the same quarter a year earlier. The site credits stronger traffic and better monetization of that traffic for its improved results. Meanwhile, the company announced promoting Steve Berkowitz to president, formerly president of its Web properties division.
