Ask Jeeves launched a Spanish beta site, on the heels of its expansion into the U.K. and Japan, reported Netimperative. Ask Jeeves Espana is expected to formally launch this summer.

Meanwhile, Ask Jeeves Japan, a joint venture with transcosmos, has signed an agreement with Google for sponsored links. That site has come out of Beta. Ask Jeeves was bought by InterActiveCorp for $1.85 billion last month.

The Spanish site is reportedly the first in a series of European launches expected in 2005.
