Arizonans Use craigslist to Cash In on Super Bowl Fever

Football hits Arizona

With Super Bowl XLII fast approaching and hotels overbooked, residents of Phoenix, AZ are offering their homes to Patriots and Giants fans on craigslist.

And it isn't just Arizona. Wired points to a site search of Boston-area craigslist, which yielded 700 postings for accommodations and perks, but Phoenix listings numbered in the thousands.

A posting to Boston's "sublets & temporary" section offers up not only a home, but the use of a home theater and a Chevy Tahoe.

Other postings include listing titles like, "Die Hard Patriot Fans! Act Now!!," and "HURRY UP SUPERBOWL ALMOST HERE!!!! offer won't last long!!!!"

craigslist was recently named a top internet brand in comScore's US Internet Year in Review.
