Formerly owned by JC Penney, the Original Arizona Jean Company is now independent. And though the jeans have been available for 23 years at the department store, they had never been marketed directly to the teen audience it's geared toward, according to a mini case study by DM News.
That's where T3 agency stepped in to help launch an online marketing campaign. A content-rich azjeans.com was created, including an e-commerce component. The site was supported by online advertising, and featured social-networking components, including email.
For Facebook, T3 created a sponsored group on Facebook that featured interactive tarot cards, a branded Yahoo IMVironment that lets teens create a custom denim background for their chat environment, and a sponsorship on MySpace.
Since September, the site has had over a million pageviews. Arizona Jean is also one of Yahoo's top IMVironments, and it's Facebook group now has 600 members.
