ABC will stream the announcement of Academy Award nominees live next Tuesday.

The network will broadcast the reading of nominees for this year's Oscars online as it happens at 8:30 Eastern. Videos of the ceremony will be archived on Oscar.com, the official awards site, maintained by ABC.

ABC will be selling ads on the site. It has not reported the names of advertisers on board.

A positive outcome for the awards ceremony itself is tenuous; the ongoing writers strike has already impacted The Golden Globes and other awards shows.
