Hearst Magazines will provide content to new distribution service Next.TV, reports Mediaweek.
Next.TV is a peer-to-peer video-sharing service that, in 2008, will be included as stock software on all HP notebook computers.
The service is looking to provide 50 or so channels for people to view on-demand online, further blurring the TV/Internet dividing line.
Hearst has not said exactly what sort of video it will be providing. But the company isn't known to blanch at the opportunity to reach new users and reinforce the brand with existing audience members.
It joins National Lampoon and Lazy TV, which will be offering clips from game shows, like Deal or No Deal, for viewing.
