Dell has tapped WPP for a three-year, $4.5 billion account, reports Advertising Age.

WPP's duties will include building a new agency consisting of over 1,000 employees, all geared to serve Dell's global marketing needs.

VP Casey Jones of global marketing says the pair will "jointly develop what we hope is the greatest agency in the world."

The prospective agency has yet to be baptized with a name. It will accommodate the complete marketing process, including creative development, media planning, CRM and PR.

Media buying will be dealt with separately.
