1010 Wins Goes Hyperlocal, Gleans Tales from Boroughs and 'Burbs

It ain't just any borough;
it's home

1010wins.com, a New York-based blog and news aggregator owned by CBS Radio, will be syndicating "hyperlocal" news and content to its page, courtesy of Outside.in.

The fresh feeds will be populating "News from the Boroughs and 'Burbs" on 1010wins.com. Behind the scenes, Outside.in's "hyperlocal" service will be sorting and aggregating commentary, news and events from bloggers hailing from each locale.

On Outside.in, content can be queried by zip code or neighborhood. And visitors can contribute their opinions on local institutions, including schools, night spots and restaurants.

Banners and skyscrapers will appear alongside the content. According to MediaPost, revenue-sharing and ad partnerships were not included in the deal.

"From a local perspective, bloggers can give a much better view on what's happening in a particular community. We have a smart solution for helping people keep abreast of what the bloggers are saying, so 1010 WINS asked us to help," said COO Rob Deeming of Outside.in.

Other cities on the "hyperlocal" radar include LA and Boston.
