Speaking at NewTeeVee Live, YouTube co-founder Steve Chen said HD-quality YouTube video will hit the site within three months.

The Google property is testing a new player that automatically detects the speed of the viewer's connection and play high-quality video when available.

However, high-quality video isn't available for every video, as a large portion of YouTube videos are uploaded at the low-resolution 320×240, reports Webware.
