Love necessitates risk
Online dating is enjoying evolution, thanks in part to the people behind OkCupid.com, who have leaped onto a growing cyber speed-dating trend.
Singles can log on to Crazy Blind Date, an offering from the makers of OKCupid, for rapidly-arranged blind dates on short notice.
The dates take place at public places likes bars and coffee shops. Those involved are not allowed to see a picture or communicate with potential partners.
The service is currently available in Austin, Boston, New York and San Francisco.
Other movers in this market include SF-based WooMe, a voice and video site that hosts "online speed introductions" between people.
