Glam Makes Magazine Veteran Publisher of GlamLiving

Glam goes pro

In a sign that web publishing may soon enjoy the professional veneer of print counterparts, Glam Media hired veteran magazine publisher Joe Lagani to head its new online holding, GlamLiving.

Lagani was named Conde Nast's "Turnaround Publisher of the Year" for 2006 for his work with House & Garden magazine. Lagani's resume also includes VP and publishing director at Meredith Corp., and ad director for Ladies Home Journal.

GlamLiving is Glam's "largest initiative outside of fashion to-date bringing together home, design, travel, food and entertaining," according to a press release.

Glam Media recently surpassed iVillage as the premiere women's online destination. Its family of 400 or more websites attracts 22 million unique visitors in the States, and 35 million worldwide.
