Martha Stewart Omnimedia has announced plans to build out new community features that include wikis, reports Advertising Age.
While exact plans are still vague, wikis will reportedly assist in building a hub for a new, more community-centric site. The social focus is part of a new effort within the company to find ways to exploit social aspects of the internet after comparative success in other media.
Stewart recently launched a Facebook page, a move that a company exec labeled as one foot in the door to the social media world. Over time, a more aggressive foray into social media will include cross-media advertising packages that incorporate all the Martha Stewart properties.
