Actions speak loudly
Coremetrics announced it will begin tracking user behavior outside of isolated incidents to provide a more well-rounded profile of that person, reports ClickZ.
The Coremetrics 2008 tracking report will seek to provide fuller pictures of people's online behavior, to provide marketers with just that much more information. The information can then be used by the site owner to send out a highly-targeted email to the shopper that contains a strong, personalized call-to-action.
By tracking behavior over multiple points of interaction, e-commerce site runners can presumably lure users either online or to their stores, based not only on what those users are doing now, but on what they've done in the past.
