A start-up called Veveo boasts the ability to index online video, then convert it to a format that is playable on most mobile handsets.
Veveo also conducts searches and delivers results even before users finish typing in a phrase. This functionality is also mobile-ready.
The service will be available for iPhones and devices on Windows Mobile. Other phones will be supported over time.
According to The Globe and Mail, Veveo may also find a use in television sets, assisting channel-surfers in navigating their video-on-demand services. The service is available at vTap.com.
