Beware of malware

When it comes to sites that harm your computer, China tops the list with 44.8 percent of the world's malware sites, according to a new report from antivirus company Sophos.

The US came in second, holding 20.8 percent of the world's malware sites.

Sophos found that malware sites are growing at a rate of about 5,000 a day, per an August count. Hackers have also switched from attaching viruses to dropping links in spam email, reports ZDNet.

This June, Chinese hackers went from producing almost nothing to having developed 450 spam domains.
