CBS, WaPo Partner for News Sharing

Flags of our fathers

CBS News and The Washington Post will partner for cross-media coverage of the 2008 election cycle, reports The Associated Press.

The two news organizations will not only share resources for reporting but also make reporters available to readers for live chats and more. The partnership only involves online reporting and coverage.

This is the latest in a series of liaisons as news organizations gear up for reporting on the 2008 presidential campaign. The Washington Post is already partnering with Slate to bring political coverage to Facebook to try and create an informed younger-skewing electorate.
