KickApps, one of many companies offering social networking tools to those in need of them, has acquired an extra $11 million in venture funding, bringing its capital up to $18 million, according to Wired's Epicenter.
KickApps has a headstart in a category Techcrunch proves is highly competitive, with 34 companies vying to power custom social networks. It has has already landed deals to create social networks for several cable networks, including BET and HBO-Cinemax.
