ABC Radio has agreed to make 14 of its channels available to mobile radio company mSpot, reports MediaWeek.
mSpot provides over 200 channels to wireless companies including Sprint and others. The deal with ABC Radio means station programming from New York, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and other major markets are now available to subscribers. The ABC stations join programming from NPR, CBS Radio, Clear Channel and others.
Revenue from subscribers is currently split between mSpot and its content providers. There are plans to insert new audio ads into the programming, at which point revenue from those ads will be split as well.
