Address book software-maker Plaxo is planning a new service called Plaxo Pulse. This offering will open members up to online datebooks for building social networks,
reports Reuters.
To implement such an endeavor, Plaxo has created the first service to share data between major address and calendar programs. It will link people with shared media interests based upon what they write, and uploaded photos and videos, giving users access to friends' surfing habits.
Plaxo currently functions as a network of address books that update automatically when a user inputs new information. Added to this are user Flickr photos, blog posts, and Amazon.com Wish Lists.
Services will soon be available for mobile phones.
