Ringo Starr has just agreed to release his Capitol/EMI solo catalog online, including a set of 1970s singles, come August 28, reports Yahoo. Six accompanying ringtones will also debut.
The songs will appear across all digital music services that host EMI content, including unprotected MP3-style formats. Fellow ex-Beatle Paul McCartney recently also released his complete last album online without DRM protection.
