NBC Sports Brings the Stream to Golfing Green

Looking to capture golf fans stuck at the office, NBC has struck two digital deals that will take the shape of live web coverage of the U.S. Open and introduce a new mobile sports channel, reports AdWeek.

NBCSports.com will stream a live simulcast of the U.S. Open from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday of this week. The site will also feature a highlight show, on-demand video interviews and original editorial coverage from NBC Sports golf commentators.

Sports will become part of NBC's Digital2Go offerings, which also include NBC News2Go and NBC2Go.
NBC will also debut a new sports mobile channel through MobiTV, a company that brings live TV to mobile.
