DriverTV, a site offering informational videos on a host of cars, has just exited beta, reports The New York Times.
The company originated as a content provider for cable television but has since found greater success providing video for Internet consumption. Each video features a different car with a narrator providing information on what viewers are looking at.
Car makers like Suzuki, Porsche and Chevrolet are placing ads around the videos, which people can view as they go through the car buying process.
DriverTV has leaped over other car information sites which rely almost completely on text and have been slow to branch out into video.
