Dodgeball Founders Leave Google

Citing their frustration at the lack of resources committed to their former personal project, the founders of Dodgeball have resigned from Google, reports GigaOm.

The pair, Dennis Crowley and Alex Rainert, announced their departure via Crowley's Flickr page. Google has, according to Crowley and Rainert, simply failed to invest or innovate in the product. That lack of funding has come as other similar services such as Twitter have gained prominence online.

Crowley will join casual gaming site area/code and Rainert will become Creative Strategist at IconNicholson.
